		Meet Our Team Asher B. Carey, M.D. Dr. Carey is a native of southern Delaware and has been serving the cosmetic and plastic surgery needs of patients in Dover and Lewes and surrounding communities for more than 20 years. Double Boarded in both General Surgery and Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, Dr. Carey works with you to achieve a natural and healthy look. He is an advocate of minimum scar surgery for most procedures, including forehead and face lifts, tummy tucks, and breast enlargement and reduction. Dr. Carey received his undergraduate degree from Duke University and his medical degree from Jefferson University in Philadelphia. He completed a residency in general surgery at Tulane University, a plastic surgery residency at Vanderbilt University, and special training abroad with international leaders in cranial and facial surgery. In his spare time, Dr. Carey is a sculptor. He brings his fine eye for graceful shaping to both his profession and his hobby. Joan Good, Clinical Assistant Joan Good has been a Clinical Assistant in plastic and reconstructive surgery practices her entire professional career. She is dedicated to making sure that each patient fully understands the clinical aspects of his or her procedure and she is available to answer your questions and concerns. Not only is Joan with you during your initial consultation with the doctor, she also sees you through the procedure and is accessible for support after the operation. With her clinical knowledge and her warm personality, she instills confidence and provides genuine caring support to each patient. Terri Byrnes, Patient Services/Receptionist Terri Byrnes is dedicated to making each patient welcome to the Carey Cosmetic Surgery Center by promptly answering each call and inquiry as well as welcoming you upon your arrival to The Center. When scheduling your appointment, she is careful to make sure that the appointment is at your convenience. She coordinates our schedules so that the office runs as efficiently as possible. If you are a new patient, Terri will mail you information about the practice as well as educational materials relating to your particular interest or need. She is one of our patient education specialist and she always makes sure we stay in touch with you, and is available to answer any questions. Susan Hudson, Office Coordinator Susan Hudson has more than 20 years experience working in physician practices. Her main concern is with making sure that the entire office runs smoothly and that patient access is met with the utmost efficiency and respect. Not only is she a patient advocate when it comes to dealing with insurers, she also makes sure that patients understand their financial obligations once they decide to have a procedure at The Center. Susan is always takes time to work with you to ensure the best possible experience at the Carey Cosmetic Surgery Center. Doreen Lebeau, Receptionist Coming to us from Rhode Island, Doreen feels right at home in Delaware. She recently completed a Medical Billing course which furthers her expertise in office management and patient service. Before joining our practice, Doreen worked in a large corporation as a benefits clerk and was responsible for education and follow up for over 500 employees. In her spare time Doreen enjoys her family and is involved in community athletic programs for children. She is also a avid Red Sox fan and tries to make as many games as possible.
