		Eyelid Rejuvenation (Blepharoplasty) Rid yourself of that tired look and let your eyes shine brightly. Dr. Carey can remove excess fat and skin from the upper and lower eyelids. Cosmetic surgery of the eyelids is effective for making puffy, baggy, tired eyes look more youthful and livelier. Dr. Carey improves baggy lids by removing excess skin, and decreases puffiness by removing or repositioning excess fat. He can lift droopy lids and strengthen weak lids. Depending on your concerns and the condition of your eyelids, Dr. Carey adapts eyelid surgery to each individual for the best natural look. The use of our minimal scar technique limits surgery incisions to your lower lash line or in your upper eyelid crease. These will be imperceptible within a few weeks. Where fat alone is removed from the lower lids, the incision can also be made on the inside of the eyelid. In this case, there is no scar at all on your skin, but it tends to delay recovery due to some initial swelling. Laser resurfacing using Erbium laser can sometimes be substituted for skin excision. The Erbium laser smoothes wrinkles, tightens skin somewhat, and thickens it to make it more rejuvenated. For our patients with only minor puffiness, or deep circle grooves, Restylane is used.		Nothing affects ones appearance more than the eyes. Sometimes adding a filler or fat under the eyelid and eyebrows is all it takes to camouflage the early signs of aging.
