Special care services are provided for adolescents as well as adults with acne problems. We conduct a thorough consultation so that we can treat the cause and symptoms. Our skin care products have been very successful in decreasing and clearing up breakout prone skin. The product ingredients penetrate deep into the follicle, killing the bacteria at the root of the cell, and clearing away the sebum that leads to acne on the skin. We analyze your skin carefully to choose products that address your type, whether it is oily, dry, normal, or a combination. This is the foundation for our acne care program.

Step #1 – Treatment of active acne

• Vibradermabrasion and/or Microdermabrasion, or Dermasweep are treatments that gently exfoliate the stratum corneum, helping to smooth the skin and even out scarred areas. We often incorporate salicylic acid peels for an enhanced result. A series of these is recommended.                           

Step #2 – Preventing breakouts

• Skin care products for home use are very important. Our nurses select products with ingredients that are most beneficial for your type of skin.
• Yag Laser Treatments – Provide deep heating of the skin to prevent oil production, decreasing break outs. The procedure takes 15 minutes without downtime, every 2 weeks for a total of  3 – 5 treatments.

Step #3 – Treatment of acne scars and discoloration

• Intense pulsed light (IPL) – for the treatment of red discoloration from acne scarring.
• Laser resurfacing – smoothes the acne scars.
• Chemical peels – (VI Peel, TCA, Glycolic, Salicylic) removes dark pigment from scarring for smoother skin.
